The family profile provides information about the average Preschool Advantage family. From Preschool Advantage’s standpoint, the key components in accepting an applicant are that the family has a demonstrated need for financial assistance as well as a firm commitment to education for their preschooler.
The application deadline is February 28 each year for school programs beginning in the following September.
Families must determine whether or not the Preschool Advantage program meets their needs. In general that means that:
- Families must be able to provide transportation for their child to a Preschool Advantage partner preschool.
- Only half day programs during the school year are covered by Preschool Advantage. Please note that some of the partner preschools offer full-day, extended care, and / or summer programs. The additional costs of those services are the responsibility of the family. For more information on availability and costs, please contact the partner preschool.
-
The child must be 3 years-old or 4 years-old by October 1st of the school year.
