Our Committees

Standing Committees

Child Committee

Reviews the applications for assistance, selects children for funding and matches them to preschool seats. This committee is typically busy from January thru early April.

School Committee

Maintains communications with the partner preschools including visiting schools on a three year cycle and compiling information regarding the number of seats that are available and are utilized, as well as tuition prices. The School Committee also plans expansion to new areas and secures partner preschools in those areas. The committee’s activities run from October to May.

Fundraising Committee

Secures new donors and maintains relationship with current donors by managing the annual campaign and overseeing the preparation of grant proposals for foundations. The committee’s activities are year-round.

Public Relations Committee

This committee has a broad charter and is active year round. To better manage the activities, four subcommittees have formed.

  1. Public Relations Subcommittee

    Responsible for raising public awareness of Preschool Advantage.

  2. Communications Subcommittee

    Prepares press releases, maintains the website, and produces communications pieces including the Annual Update.

  3. Family Relations Subcommittee

    Tracks alumni outcomes and obtains family input to the organization.

  4. Outreach Subcommittee

    Responsible for maintaining communications with social service agencies, public schools and other entities that can help to inform prospective applicants about the organization.

Event Committees

Tennis Committee

Plans and runs the Tennis Outings held in during the summer each year.

Golf Committee

Plans and runs the Tennis Outings held in during the summer each year.

Gala Committee

Plans and runs the annual gala held in October each year.
